 La Mesa Oktoberfest is sponsored by the San Diego East County Chamber of Commerce and the La Mesa Merchants Association the first full weekend in October. The streets are closed to vehicles to accommodate 400 craft, food and arts booths. La Mesa's downtown parking lot becomes a German-style Lowenbrau Beer Garden. Beer sales stop at 10:00pm on Friday and Saturday nights. Admission to the public is free. This is one of the biggest Oktoberfests around. Do yourself a favor and ride the San Diego Trolley's East Line to the event. |
